Mom,

After my work today, the IMP took a picture of me to send back to Earth. I tried to look happy. I did a "wheely" but I still didn't feel like I looked happy.

I lowered my APXS into the soil next to Lamb, but I'm powered down and using only my battery. My heart isn't in it.

Sol 21 will begin when Earth rises over Mars tonight at 8:48 p.m.
